Peshawar: One security personnel was killed in an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) blast targeting a polio team in Peshawar's Daudzai area on Tuesday morning, Aaj News reported.

The security personnel killed in the attack was severely injured, who later succumbed to his injuries on the way to the hospital, said a Lady Reading spokesperson.

A separate security team was deployed for the security of the polio workers after the attack on a polio team in Charsadda in September.
