WEB DESK: Sonakshi Sinha revealed recently that she will not be playing a Pakistani Journalist in her upcoming movie, Noor.

She said: “All I can say is that I am not playing a Pakistani journalist in the film. The film is based on a book, which is written by a Pakistani author. The story has been adapted into a Mumbai backdrop.”

It was earlier revealed that the Bollywood adaptation of Pakistani bestseller had made a last-minute change in script to base the movie in Mumbai instead of Karachi following a ban on Pakistan-based movie Happy Bhag Jayegi. Sonakshi was set to play the role of a journalist, Noor, based in Karachi.

The book is a bittersweet tale of a single young woman, Noor, who is attached to her profession as a journalist-writer. Directed by debutante Sunhil Sippy, the movie revolves around Noor’s misadventures and love life as she navigates her way through Mumbai.

The movie is all set to be released on April 7th next year.
