Recipe of the day: White Biryani
Ingredients:
Chicken 1 kg 12 pieces boiled
Black pepper 1 tsp heaped
Brown onion 1 cup
Allspice 1 tsp
Ginger garlic paste 3 tsp heaped
Oil ¾ cup
Yogurt beaten 1 cup
Boiled rice ½ kg
Saffron ½ tsp soaked in half cup milk
Kewra water 1 tbsp
Ghee 2 tbsp
Salt 1 ½ tsp
Potatoes 4 cut in big pieces and deep fried till light golden
Whole allspice1 tbsp
Method:
Heat oil fry potatoes till light golden and remove, in the same oil add whole spices, boiled chicken, ginger garlic paste, fry for 5 minutes till chicken light golden, remove from heat add yogurt, salt, pepper, allspice, onion and fried potatoes, stir well, spread boiled rice on top, pour ghee over rice, sprinkle saffron, milk, Kewra water, cover and cook for 15 minutes on slow flame.
