Wish to dine in with diamond chopsticks?
WEB DESK: A meal at Singapore’s Ce La Vi restaurant has been dubbed as the most expensive meal in the world – yes, you have to shell out a whopping $2 million for an 18-course degustation menu!
The customers would be tucking into their meal with personalized diamond studded chopsticks worth $17,000 per pair and at the end of the day a chosen couple would get to take these beauties home. Now, if you are spending all this insane amount of money, we are sure you would like to get your money’s worth.
According to the makers World of Diamonds Group, these gold-plated chopsticks are set with 4-carat round diamonds and are just an add-on to the whole luxury experience. But it just doesn’t end there. As part of the complete experience, the lucky pair will get luxury rides – including a helicopter and cruise – leading them to the dining venue at Marina Bay Sands Hotel and a 2-carat blue diamond ring in rose-gold dubbed “The Jane Seymour†at the end of the meal.
To make it a truly personalised experience, even the furniture will be custom-made, and to finish the night with a flourish, fireworks will accompany a Louis XIII de Rémy Martin cognac when the ring is presented.
Karan Tilani, the head of Asia for World of Diamonds Group, was quoted as saying, “The winning couple will decide on when the dinner will be held. And for that night, Ce La Vi will be closed just so the couple can dine in complete privacy.â€
Too much extravagance at one go, don’t you agree?
