ISLAMABAD: Minister of Defense Production Rana Tanveer Hussain on Wednesday said that National Policy for Internal Security (NPIS) will help combat terrorism and improved law and order in the country.

Talking to media outside the parliament, he said, this was the first government who announced security policy with an objective to eliminate terrorism and improved law and order situation.

He said the government would initiate targeted operation against the groups involved in killing of innocent people.

"We are in favor of dialogue with the groups, those accepting the writ of the government", he added

The Minister said government believed operation was not a solution to resolve disputes.
