LPG prices reduced by Rs 10 per kg
ISLAMABAD: The LPG Marketing Companies on Monday reduced the LPG price by Rs 10 per Kilogram, Rs 120 in a domestic cylinder and Rs 480 for commercial cylinder. The new prices would be effective from (today) Monday.
The Chairman of LPG Distribution Association, Irfan Khokhar said in statement that LPG prices were being reduced as result of LPG policy 2013. He predicted that price would be further lowered by Rs 10 per kg.
He said due to effective steps taken by government, the LPG price was cheaper 45 percent as compared to prices of petrol and diesel.
The new prices are Rs 115 per kg in all major cities and Rs 125 in Murree, Gilgit- Baltistan, FATA, Azad Kashmir and other hilly areas of the country.
Irfan Kohtar said that now LPG was available at affordable rate to poor people during this winter.
He appreciated the government and OGRA for chalking out effective strategy for reducing LGP price and taking action against LPG mafia.
