ICAP launches new education scheme, study packs

KARACHI: Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan (ICAP) has launched its new " Education Scheme and Chartered Accountants : Study Packs."

This would prove another milestone and distinction of ICAP to revamp the study scheme of the Chartered Accountants aligned with latest developments of the modern world, said President ICAP, Naeem Akhtar Sheikh while speaking at a seminar on this eve , said a ICAP release here on Saturday.

He said the ICAP has restructured the Chartered Accountancy qualification by incorporating latest developments in curriculum and syllabus. The new structure will further equip the students to undertake the contemporary and forth coming challenges of business, finance and economy with more advanced knowledge and skills.

The new system has four tiers of CA qualification and each stage has stand-alone recognition. The computer based examination of AFC and CAF stages are also being developed.

Specific Study Packs have been developed along with learning outcomes and test bank. This meticulously developed study material will assist students in preparing for the examination and facilitate the route to become resourceful business leaders ; well equipped to meet the challenges of tomorrow.

During the session information was provided to the representative of RAETS (Registered Accounting Education Tutors). Moreover, other details covered in the session included new curriculum, examinations, exemptions and transition of the existing students into the new stream.

The ceremony was attended by ICAP Council Members, representatives
of RAETs, Training firms and Media personnel.
