KARACHI: Gunmen attacked polio vaccination team in Karachi, killing three, officials said.

The team was heading off for the distribution of polio drops among the residents in Qayyumabad. Some unknown men violently opened fire on the team.

According to the police sources, there was no immediate report of any casualties, security official also confirmed the death of 3 people who belonged to the polio team.

No one has claimed responsibility for the killings.

Following the incident the anti-polio drive has been suspended across the province of Sindh.
