KARACHI: Deputy Inspector General of Traffic Police-Karachi, Arif Hanif in a meeting with Commissioner of Karachi, Mohammad Shoaib Siddiqui, on Friday, said all unauthorized parking zones in the metropolis are in process of being removed.

Sharing with the Karachi Commissioner details of the campaign initiated against encroachers, as per directives of the commissioner himself, the DIG Traffic said action is also being taken against those responsible for establishing godowns and shops in the multi-storeyed "Parking Plaza" in Saddar.

Karachi traffic police was said to be also taking all relevant measures in close coordination with KMC and district administration as this was a joint responsibility to help citizens against wide range of inconvenience.

DIG-Traffic, Arif Hanif said these were besides stringent action being taken against dealers as well as those running road side CNG cylinder shops in the metropolis.

The Commissioner appreciating the sense of responsibility of the traffic police assured every support of the district administration in their efforts to improve the situation.
