Pak, India trade volume climbs to tune of $2.5bn

ISLAMABAD: Chairman Pak, India Join Business Council Noor Ahmad Kasuri while emphasizing the trade relations improvement discussed in the 5th meeting of Pak-India secretaries of commerce level meeting said that the current trade volume is touching $ 2.5 billion.

Talking to Radio Pakistan, he said that Pakistan and India had to sustain loss due to the two wars, which they fought in the past.

He said both countries have been releasing since the last decade that war is not the solution of problems instead of negotiations should be given time.

Economist Kashif Mustafa has said that it is in the interest of Pakistan and India to make trade dialogues positive and conclusive.

He said due to the geographical location, Pakistan and India have the potential to improve mutual trade which would boost the economic conditions of both countries.

Kashif Mustafa further stated that whenever the trade dialogue between both countries gets momentum, other core issues come forward which halt the way to mutual trade.
