JUI-F joins federal govt; oath taking today
ISLAMABAD: The Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) will join the Federal Government today (Thursday) by taking oath.
According to sources, JUI-F’s Akram Durrani will take oath as federal minister while Maulana Abdul Ghafoor will be sworn in as minister of state. Abbas Afridi and Khurram Dastagir will also take oath as federal ministers today.
It is important to note here that the central leaderships of Pakistan Muslim League-N and JUI-F had been holding talks over the past several months in connection with the latter’s joining the federal government.
These negotiations took time to get resolved, whereas some other issues are still pending.
