Saudi FM’s visit to strengthen Pak-Saudi ties
ISLAMABAD: Former Finance Minister Shaukat Tareen has said that the Saudi Foreign Minister's visit to Pakistan will further strengthen Pakistan and Saudia Arabia's relations.
Talking to Radio Pakistan, he said that Saudi Arabia has always been Pakistan's friend and it provided financial assistance to Pakistan at the time of need.
He said different Saudi funds are providing assistance to Pakistan.
He said Saudi investors have shown their interest to invest in different sectors in Pakistan and "we can export our highly skilled workers to Saudi Arabia instead of unskilled labourers, which will definitely increase our foreign remittances."
An expert on international relations Prof Dr. Shaheen Akhtar also said that Pakistan and Saudi Arabia can play constructive role for the stability of the region.
He said "Pakistan and Saudi Arabia relations are time-tested. Saudi Arabia always helped Pakistan during the natural disasters."
Analyst Maj. Gen. (R) Jamshad Ayaz said Pakistan has excellent relations with Saudi Arabia.
He hoped that this visit will further strengthen the bilateral ties.
