GHOTKI: Three people died when a Jahanpur-bound van, carrying six people, plunged into Qaziwah canal in Ghotki.

Six persons drowned when their jeep plunged into a canal near Ghotki on Wednesday while rescue team has recovered five bodies.

According to police, a jeep enroute to Jahan Pur from Ghotki met with an accident due to over speeding and fell into Qazi Wah canal. As a result of mishap, six persons drowned into the canal out of which five bodies have been recovered by the rescue personnel so far.

The remaining one man was rescued and shifted to hospital for treatment.
