LAHORE: Document submission for Local Bodies Election 2014 came to an end after 6 days. 14951 people standing for the election submitted their documents.

These elections are being conducted in all areas of Punjab including Lahore. From 22 December 2013, the process of document submission had started and it came to an end yesterday at 12 midnight.

People from all over the province including independent candidates from Gujranwala, Multan, Faisalabad, Wahari, Gujrat, Bhawalpur, Hafizabad, Sahiwal and Sheikhapura submitted their documents for elections.

768 general seats where as 1522 seats for Chairman and Vice Chairman were registered by the candidates taking part in election.

3175 from district Rajanpur where as 3000 from Gujranwala; documents have been submitted. After investigation of these documents, the result will be announced on 13 January 2014.
