Students pay glowing tributes to Quaid e Azam
PESHAWAR: The students' speakers Wednesday paid glowing tributes to the Father of the Nation, Quaid e Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah on his 137th birth anniversary and described him a towering personality of 20th Century, who changed the course of history and world geography purely through a peaceful and constitutional struggle.
These views were expressed by students' speakers during a declamation contest on topic of the personality and struggle of Quaid e Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah for the creation of Pakistan at Greenwich Public School Charsdda Road presided over by Principal Nasir Ahmed Khan. Students and parents besides elites of the City in large number attended the function.
Paras Ejaz, a 9th grade student while speaking on the topic said that Quaid e Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah was a great statesman who created a separate homeland for the Muslims of South Asia through a peaceful and constitutional struggle.
"Quaid-e-Azam stood for constitutionalism, rule of law, respect for human rights, and equality," he said, adding Quaid-e-Azam's slogan of 'Unity, Faith and Discipline' had inspired the Muslims of the subcontinent to achieve Pakistan.
Haris Khan, a 5th class student said Quaid e Azam was a principled and farsighted statesman and even his opponents had acknowledged his flawless and exemplary character.
"Our beloved Quaid had not only led the freedom struggle to its successful completion but also took practical steps to determine basic contours of polity and good governance." His thoughts and ideas are still beacon of light for the nation, Khan added.
The other speakers paid homage to Father of the Nation's constant and unbendable courage that had resulted the creation of Pakistan on world map on August 14, 1947.
The speakers said Quaid had great love for Pakthuns, youth, women and students that could be judged from his visits to this part of the country on several occasions during his short life after creation of Pakistan.
The best tributes to Quaid e Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah on his 137th birth anniversary are that every person should work hard in their own selected fields and professions to make Pakistan a progressive and developed mulsims welfare state. Later, prizes and certificates were distributed among the winners.
