Clashes in Hyderabad Central Jail: 1 killed, 7 injured
HYDERABAD: Prisoners of Central Jail Hyderabad stage a protest on the roof top of the prison during a clash between two rival groups, 1 killed here on Friday.
As per the reports, Seven prisoners were injured and condition of one of the under-trial prisoners was stated to be critical and he had been shifted to Civil Hospital Hyderabad.
Moreover, 15 policemen were made hostages, later the police called rangers to control the situation.
Police used tear-shells to disperse the angry prisoners, during the clash between two rival groups policemen were not freed until the last updates.
This is not the first time an incident like this has taken place. In fact, countless protests have been reported in different district jails in recent years. The conditions of jails in Pakistan are deplorable, housing many more than their capacity. Prisoners are deprived of even the basic amenities.
Earlier, in the protest seven were killed and injuring of around 30 prisoners when the police authorities used firepower to control the protesting prisoners.
