Talibans release video showing 17 beheaded Pakistani soldiers
DERA ISMAIL KHAN: The Pakistani Talibans have claimed to have released a video on Wednesday which shows the heads of 17 Pakistani soldiers who were captured in a cross-border raid from Afghanistan this week and beheaded.
The attack has clearly indicated Pakistani Taliban's presence within the region, clearly quashing previous affirmations from Pakistani officials over non-existence of the terrorist group.
Pakistan has already animadverted NATO and Afghan forces over their inability to stop the attacks. Even in today's meeting General Kayani raised this issue with the ISAF commander.
The Pakistani and Afghani Talibans are considered strong allies with both fighting regime forces in the respective areas where they operate.
The video displays 17 heads on a bloody white sheet surrounded over by "masked and armed" militants. The video starts with Hakeemullah Mehsud's voice in which he states that militants would continue to fight against Pakistani army until the government halts supporting the U.S. and enforces Islamic law throughout the country.
