KARACHI: Ahle Sunnat Wal Jamaat leader, Aurangzeb Farooqi was targeted on Tuesday when unknown armed men opened fire at his car when he was travelling back home. Aurangzeb Farooqi's personal security guard was reported injured in the incident.

According to Aaj TV correspondent, Aurangzeb Farooqi was heading home when unknown armed men opened fire at his car in the Qayumabad area. Aurangzeb Farooqi was reported safe but his guard was reported seriously injured as a result of the incident.

The injured guard has been admitted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical College for medical attention.

Police have reached the reported area and is further assessing the area for clues.
