"We have no competition with MQM" - Shahi Syed
KARACHI: Awami National Party Sindh Chairman, Shahi Syed, stated that his party had no competition with MQM and that their party members are followers of Ahmed Shah Abdali who fought against the British. Shahi Syed made this statement while addressing a public gathering in Keamari on Sunday.
"ANP promotes Bacha Khan's non-violence policy and follows politics of principles," stated Shahi Syed. He further added that Bacha Khan fought against the British and the Pathans played an important role in routing the British out from the sub-continent "but yet our history is written by them," stated Syed.
He urged the public to change the violent policy and work intellectually for the prosperity of the country.
With respect to ANP's coalition with PPP, Shahi Syed stated that the coalition was with the parties and not with the concerned people. He further added that the alliance was kept in order to strengthen democracy.
During his speech, Shahi Syed also hailed the decisions taken by Chief Justice Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry.
