Arsalan Iftikhar submits plea for FIR against Malik Riaz
ISLAMABAD: Â Arsalan Iftikhar, son of Pakistan's Chief Justice Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry, has submitted a detailed reply in the Supreme Court, Aaj News reported.
Denying all charges against him, Dr Arsalan said that the Malik Riaz's statements were contradictory and once it is proved the court should register an FIR against him.
Meanwhile, Malik Riaz's lawyer Zahid Bukhari, has submitted a request for a larger bench of judges to hear the scandalous graft case involving Pakistan's real estate tycoon Malik Riaz and Chief Justice's son Arsalan Iftikhar, later,  Zahid Bukhari's request was rejected by the Supreme Court.
Arsalan Iftikhar prayed the court to consider only solid evidence that is produced in the court and not the statements given on private television channels and news shows.
Earlier the Supreme Court had ordered both Malik Riaz and Arsalan Iftikhar to submit their replies by June 9, but Malik Riaz failed to submit his statement up till now.
Cheif Justice of Pakistan, Mohammad Iftikhar Chaudhry has removed himself from the bench hearing this case on advice of the attorney general who said that it would be against the code of conduct.
