Cybernet launches cloud infrastructure service in Pakistan

According to sources, Cybernet, an enterprise network and data service provider has launched Pakistan’s first commercial cloud infrastructure in a ceremony held yesterday in Islamabad.

Cybernet’s newly launched technology is an infrastructure as a service (IaaS) that is maintained by in-house expertise and support of Cybernet.

CEO of Cybernet, Shahid Ahmed Khan said that the technology will enable businesses across Pakistan to avail important benefits of cloud technology that was not previously available in the country.

Cloud technology is basically a hub, to which a user can access from anywhere in the world. Shahid Ahmed Khan claimed that the technology will help in reducing network latency by 90 percent for those accessing the network within Pakistan.

He also said that it took them more than a year to build the infrastructure from scratch to eventually launch the cloud solution that they are aiming to sell to small to large sized organizations in Pakistan and abroad.

Cybernet’s main datacenter is built in Karachi and they are planning to establish more datacenters in Lahore, Islamabad and another in Karachi too.

Cybernet said that its aim is to provide an opportunity to local businesses and organization to experience high performing and cost effective computer infrastructure without any investment to start with. They will only have to pay for the resources they will use.
