CEO Hussain Lawai’s abduction foiled in Karachi

According to Police, an attempt to abduct the chief of a private bank was foiled earlier today in Karachi. Aaj News reported.

Hussain Lawai the CEO of a private bank who is also a high -profile personality of Pakistan politics was on his way to the mosque to offer daily prayers, when unidentified men ambushed and abducted him.

The criminals abducted Lawai from near his residence in KDA, Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Karachi and assaulted him.

Hussain Lawai is known for his political assosiations with PPP and PML-N in previous years of his life. He was assigned as Prime Minister's personal advisory in 1996.

According to police, one of Lawai's security guards was involved in the attempted abduction, who later fled the scene with his accomplices when some neighbors called the police after getting suspicious.

According to latest reports, Hussain Lawai is currently receiving medical attention because of the injuries sustained during his struggle with the miscreants.

According to police, Mr. Lawai is not available for statements, yet.
