PM directs to restore peace in Karachi
ISLAMABAD: The Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani has directed the Interior Minister to extend all possible help to the Sindh Government to restore peace in Karachi.
This was stated by the Prime Minister during his meeting with Interior Minister Rehman Malik who called on him here on Wednesday. The Interior Minister apprised him about law and order situation in the country in general and Karachi in particular.
The Prime Minister expressed grave concern over killing of innocent people by miscreants in Karachi and directed to extend all possible help to the Sindh Government to restore peace in Karachi.
The Prime Minister also directed all federal agencies to track down the culprits. He said perpetrators of heinous crime must be brought to justice at the earliest.
Commerce Minister Amin Faheem also called on the Prime Minister and discussed political situation of the country in general and of Karachi in particular.
He apprised the Prime Minister about encouraging outcome of the talks with members of Turkish delegation.
The Prime Minister hoped that vigorous pursuit of the trade diplomacy will further strengthen relations between the two countries.
