Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) said, “These matches have been given the status of official test matches and through these ties our team would be able to get sufficient high profile practice to give final touches to its preparations for London Olympics”.

Mohammad Asif Bajwa said, “After the completion of Europe tour a 16-member squad will be named for Olympics”. He further said, “Pak team will be having two-week trainingcamp at home before flying to England on July 11 to have a 10-day training programme in Birmingham”.

“Our youngsters put up very good performance and it was unfortunate that they could not win the final against Malaysia”. “Pak hockey futures banks on our junior players and I am confident that they would be an asset for the country in years to come”, he added.
