Army, Government snub NATO discussion at meeting

After the trilateral meeting between Army heads of Pakistan, Afghanistan and ISAF, Pakistan Military spokesperson Major General Athar Abbas, said that the the subject of NATO supply resumption was not discussed in the meeting, on Wednesday. Aaj News reported.

Dismissing the reports, Major General Athar Abbas said, that the meeting was rather focused on border control mechanisms.

Earlier today, it was speculated that the Federal Cabinet and the trilateral meeting would discuss the resumption of NATO's supply route in their respective meetings.

In Islamabad, The federal cabinet meeting  came to an end, after which, Information Minister Qamar Zaman Kaira said, that a decision was not reached in the meeting of Federal Cabinet regarding the NATO supply issue.

He said that everyone will be informed as soon as a decision is reached regarding resumption of NATO supply.

Re-affirming Prime Minister Gilani's statement he said, that whatever the decision would be, it would be taken after considering the Parliamentary resolution and it would be in National Interest.
