Punjab’s “Lions” are scared to quit assemblies: Imran Khan

Lahore: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf Chief, Imran Khan, has said that the self proclaimed lions of Punjab, should resign from assemblies to show their commitment towards throwing the government out.

Instead of launching  empty slogans and threats, PML-N should resign from their positions in the assemblies.

He was speaking to the media after congratulating Asim Zafar, who is Lahore's noted lawyer, S.M Zafar's son, for joining Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf.

He said, that a convicted Prime Minister who is refusing to leave his office, is an open ridicule of Pakistan's legal system and its constitution. Yousuf Raza Gilani should not ridicule the court to save his own and President Zardari's corrupt money.  The Courts can only judge and announce a verdict, it is the government's responsibility to abide by the verdict and bring the criminals to justice.

He remarked, that after the removal of PM Yusuf Raza Gilani, corruption cases against Nawaz Sharif would be brought forward in the court of law, as well.

Imran Khan claimed that Nawaz Sharif was planning to remove the Prime Minister from office only for his personal gain, he said that Nawaz Sharif's intentions are to place his own umpires when the election is near and hijack the elections for his personal benefits.
