ANF begins probing Musa Gilani in ephedrine case
The Prime Minister's son, Ali Musa Gilani has appeared before the Anti Narcotics Federation's investigation officer, accompanied by his lawyer Fawad Chaudhry today, on Thursday.
On his way to the investigation, he denied having any involvement in the ephedrine case.
“I have no connection to this case…I am not an accused…I will repeat the same statement before the investigation officer also,†he said while speaking to the media.
The ANF had presented a report before the Supreme Court which contained names of eight people accused of involvement in the drug scam. Musa Gilani's name is one of those eight names.
The report suggests that Musa manipulated the quota allotted for exporting drugs and used it to gain personal profits with the help of  some elements present in the Ministry of Health.
Ali Musa Gilanni has been adamant about his innocence regarding the ephedrine case, and says that he is a victim of a conspiracy against him and his family.
It should be noted that the ANF had earlier asked the courts to put Musa Gilani's name in the Exit Control List but with in that week Musa Gilani left for South Africa on a private trip, but later returned and is now facing the charges pressed against him in court.
