The Interior Minister Rehman Malik was aboard a helicopter which had to make an emergency landing in Dera Allah Yaar, because of some technical defect, on Thursday afternoon.

A spokesperson of the Interior Ministry has informed us that everyone on board is safe and sound.

This is the second case of technical failure in a PPP member's aircraft.

Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani was on board a plane which had to make an emergency landing at Chaklala air base in Rawalpindi after facing technical difficulties.
