Karachi: 3 policemen shot dead by target killers
A number of unidentified men armed with AK-47, started shooting at three policemen including an Assistant Sub Inspector (ASI) early Thursday morning at PIB Colony in Karachi.
According to police officials, the three cops identified as Assistant Sub Inspector Dhani Bux, head constable Ramzan and constable Nisar were stationed near a flour mill and were performing their duty as per routine when unidentified men opened fire and fatally wounded the policemen.
The injured cops were rushed to Jinnah Hospital, where they were announced dead. The attackers were able to flee the scene easily after attacking and looting guns and ammunition of the victim cops leaving them for dead.
The police are conducting snap checks and search raids in the nearby areas in hopes of catching the perpetrators .
