Teenager shot dead at Nationalist rally in Karachi

Local news channels reported a Youth killing during the rally of Sindh's nationalist party called Jiye Sindh Qaumi Mahaz (JSQM), in Karachi on Friday.

Nadeem a teenager who was working at a tire mending stall, was shot dead for not obliging to shut down his business during the rally proceedings.

Sources confirm that the deceased boy, was a native of Rahim Yar Khan who came to Karachi seeking a better way of life like most people. He worked at a little tire mending shop near Kamran Chowrangi in Gulistan-e-Jauher. A flag of Pakistan fluttered on his shop echoing patriotism.

It should be noted that Nadeem did not belong or affiliate with any political party or group and was a pure Pakistani being patriot on Pakistan Day.

As he was shot to death, police personnel were present only as bystanders.

The neighborhood got together in protests, burning tires and blocking the road near the infamous Kamran Chowranggi. The protesters demanded immediate arrest of the people responsible for the murder of Nadeem.

Sindh Home Minister, Manzoor Wassan, took notice of the incident and ordered the IG Police Sindh, Mushtaq Ahmed Shah to probe into the matter and submit a report in a span of 48 hours.

Other incidents of looting and mugging were also reported from Shara-e-Faisal, where people were looted at gun point by unidentified criminally motivated men.

The MQM chief Altaf Hussain condemned these incidents in a telephone call to the president Zardari and Senator Rehman Malik,  seeking inquiry into the looting incidents occurred while the nationalist party was rallying.
