Chairman Senate Nayyer Hussain Bukhari has said that the government has successfully met enormous challenges, established rule of law and assured supremacy of the Parliament. Talking to media men here on Sunday, he said he thanked President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani and allied parties for reposing confidence in him for the Senate Chairman. He also thanked the members of the Senate for electing the Chairman unopposed. The Chairman Senate said the policy of reconciliation helped overcome the national challenges with the joint efforts of the coalition government and the opposition.
