Memogate: Mansoor Ijaz being questioned by AGP
Mansoor Ijaz, the central character in the memogate controversy, is being cross-examined in Pakistan’s London High Commission by Attorney General of Pakistan Moulvi Anwar-ul-Haq in Memo Commission hearing being simultaneously held in London and Islamabad.
Ijaz took oath before again before his cross-examination.
Ijaz on Saturday also claimed that President Asif Ali Zardari gave permission to the US for the operation to kill Osama Bin Laden in Abbotabad.
Responding to a question from Zahid Bukhari, Ijaz said that he spoke on the telephone with Haqqani on May 9, 2011, and passed him the clauses of the memo, claiming that whatever he was doing was in the knowledge of the president.
Mishal Khan, the wife of Kashmiri leader, Yasin Malik also appeared in front of the commission.
