Five persons were killed and ten others sustained injuries in a head-on collision between a coaster and a loader (mini truck) at Arifwala road near here on Friday morning.

According to police, a coaster (LZJ-7011) with wedding guests was on its way to Minchanabad from Jaffarabad (Duniapur) when it collided with a loader (LWO-0517) coming from opposite side, near chak 217/EB. Five persons died on the spot and more than ten received injuries.

The dead were identified as Khursheed Ahmad, Muhammad Iqbal, Muhammad Javed, loader driver Muhammad Ashraf and Ghulam Raza.

The injured include--Muhammad Ramzan, Nisar Ahmad, Muhammad Ashraf son of Ghulam Dastgir, Muhammad Yaqoob, Nasir Ahmad, Qamar Shahzad and Muhammad Akmal.

Local police shifted the bodies and injured persons to THQ hospital.
