ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High court has stopped the President from appointing a new Defense secretary while a petition against the Lt. Gen Khalid Naeem Lodhi awaits ruling.

The deputy attorney general notified the court that a response has been submitted by the Prime minister and Secretary Establishment meanwhile others were parties were still to do so.

The hearing was adjourned after the court declared the notification of dismissing Lodhi as void and issued an order allowing the current set-up to run under Nargis Sethi for the meanwhile. (AajNews)
