Barrister Aitzaz Ahsan, counsel for Prime Minister Youuf Raza Gilani said, the government can file appeal in court.

Talking to media outside the Supreme court, I will suggest my client to file an appeal against this order, Aitzaz said.

Barrister Aitzaz Ahsan said that “I’m not here to defend contempt of court charges, I’m here to uphold the Constitution.”

"The court has decided to frame charges against PM Yousuf Raza Gilani. He has been asked to be present in person on February 13 when he will be indicted," Aitzaz told reporters.

"There is a possibility for an appeal in this matter. It is up to the court whether to suspend this order or not. This will be decided after getting a copy of the order," Ahsan added.
