USC to open 2000 new stores
Utility Stores Corporation (USC) decided to add 2000 new stores in its network across the country in order to provide maximum relief to the people specially poor segment of the society.
"We have a plan to open mega stores and out of 2,000 new stores, maximum number would be of mega and super market stores",
Managing Director USC Major General (R) Malik Muhammad Farooq said while inaugurating the Super market store in Karachi Zone.
The MD USC said items and varieties in the stores would be increased to ensure maximum relief to the commonman under one roof, said a statement received here on Monday.
He said Senior Federal Minister Chaudhry Pervez Elahi wants to make the Corporation an exemplary institution and he would put all efforts to implement the Senior Minister's orders.
During his visit, the MD USC met with regional and zone managers where he was briefed about the performance of stores and their problems.
The MD also issued directives for improving the performance of stores by achieving sale target, sanitation of stores, customer service and punctuality of timing.
