Gold slipped by Rs 214 to close at Rs 48,343 per 10 grams in the local market on Wednesday as its international price dropped to $ 1,659 an ounce, market sources said.

According to the Karachi Saraf Association official, tola (11.664 grams) price also decreased by Rs 200 to Rs 56,400.

Silver closed lower at Rs 882.85 per 10 grams.
