Former ambassador to the US Husain Haqqani on Saturday filed an appeal with the “memogate” judicial commission against Mansoor Ijaz, according to the media.

In the appeal the former ambassador has demanded that the Pakistani-American business tycoon appear before the commission by tomorrow failing which Haqqani has requested the commission to cancel Ijaz’s right to make a statement in the memogate scandal case.

It may be mentioned that Ijaz was expected to arrive in Pakistan on January 24 to appear before the judicial commission probing the “memo” case on January 26, but postponed his arrival citing security reasons.
