Railway Minister Ghulam Ahmed Bilour on Friday demanded 400 locomotives from the government to overcome the ongoing railway crisis.

While talking in the senate session today, the minister offered himself for any punishment if he failed to restore the Pakistan Railway. “I cannot pull the wagons myself if engines will not be available,” he added.

Bilour insisted if he is provided proper engines and amount, he can run the department in an ideal way. However, he conditioned accountability with provision of engines.

On the other side, Railway increased fares of  cargo trains upto 15 percent.
