Islamabad High Court on Wednesday rejected the petition filed calling for the arrest of central memo character, Mansoor Ijaz.

A petition had been filed in an Islamabad court on January 7 seeking registration of criminal case against Mansoor Ijaz.

Additional and session judge, Wajahat Hasan heard the petition.  The petition was filed by Khalid Jameel Sati, an activist associated with the Pakistan People's Party (PPP).

The petition requested the issuing of arrest orders against Ijaz, the central character of the memogate scandal, upon his arrival in Pakistan.

Earlier, the apex court reserved the verdict till 2pm today.

The judicial commission probing the Memogate case had told the court that a case filed against Ijaz was not maintainable.
