Interior Minister Rehman Malik on Friday dispelled the impression of any confrontation between the state institutions as these were working within their domains.

Talking to media persons outside the Parliament House, he said all institutions did not want confrontation in any manner and added present situation was just a reflection of transition to democracy.

To a question, the Minister said the government would complete its tenure and current issues would be resolved in a week or so.

He said the government was committed to taking steps for further strengthening the democracy and during its tenure, it ensured several achievements including success in war on terror.

He said difference of opinion was a democratic right of a person and the government allies have fully supported the efforts for continuity of the democratic process.

To another question, the minister said the there was no threat to Mansoor Ejaz and he would be provided security during his stay in the country.
