Rains adversely affect a large portion of Sindh
The devastating spell of heavy rains & thunderstorms have adversely affected a large portion of sindh province.
The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) is constantly working in coordination with the PDMAs & DDMAs to provide relief to the affected populace.
The Chairman NDMA, Dr. Zafar Qadir, along with a team of NDMA officials, has already reached the flood affected areas of Sindh to oversee the relief & rescue operation.
The Chairman NDMA, Dr. Zafar Qadir, during his visit to the affected areas of district Badin, had a meeting with the Sindh Provincial Minister Zulfiqar Mirza, discussed the current flood situation & the on going relief & rescue operation in the area.
During his visit, the Chairman NDMA said that the situation is under control and all the affected population has been relocated to safer places.
Dr. Zafar Qadir informed that three districts of Sindh, namely MirPur Khas, Tando allah Yar & Badin are the worst hit & NDMA has already transported dewatering pumps in the area & has released 2700 tents to PDMA Sindh for further distribution in the affected areas.
Furthermore, NDMA has distributed 2000 Family Ration Packs among the flood affectees of Badin, 1000 in Tando Muhammad Khan, 1000 in Hyderabad, 500 in Tando Allah Yar & 2000 in Mirpur Khas, he added.
