Moin Akhtar laid to rest in Karachi
A renowned television artiste, comedian and compere Moin Akhter was laid to rest in Model Colony graveyard in Malir, Karachi on Saturday.
The funeral prayers of Moin Akhtar were offered in Tauheed Mosque near his residence. Hundreds of people attended the funeral prayer. The funeral prayer was led by Junaid Jamshed.
Moin Akhtar, aged 60, passed away in Karachi after suffering a heart attack on Friday afternoon.
Moin Akhtar also demonstrated his calibre in realms of fine arts. As a comedian he had won recognition at international level for his unique style.
He leaves behind his wife, three daughters and two sons to mourn his death.
He died at around 6:15 pm at the Combined Military Hospital in Malir Cantonment where he was admitted after suffering heart attack in the morning.
The legendary television and stage actor was also a playwright, singer, and producer who made his debut from Pakistan Television.
