WB place Pakistan in lower-middle income states

International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank (WB) on Sunday placed both Pakistan among lower-middle income countries.

According to World Bank Global Monitoring Report, Pakistan also in a group which lagged behind by 10 per cent or less in meeting the millennium development goals.

The report also noted that aggregate aid flows to developing countries often reflected geopolitical priorities and/or responses to major global events.
