The death toll of the road accident in Malam Jabba has mounted to 23 as 7 more victims were expired in hospitals on Monday.

As many as 35 people sustained injuries when a bus carrying a wedding party fell into a deep ditch on Sunday.

Police said the passengers were going to Maalam Jabba, area of Swat from Mingora to attend a wedding when the driver lost control of the vehicle at Speenay Obba village and plunged into deep ditch.

Resultantly, 23 people died and more than 30 injured. Most of the deceased belonged to a single family.
The identity of other victims could not be immediately ascertained.
