PML-N Chief Nawaz Sharif has termed the renaming of NWFP as a sensitive issue, saying that the issue should not be connected with the 17th constitutional amendment, Aaj News reported.
In a statement issued here on Monday, Nawaz Sharif condemned the killing of innocent people in Abbottabad. He asked NWFP Chief Minister to play his role to calm the situation.
He was of view that leaders of all the political parties and members of constitutional reforms committee have to play their role to resolve the issue of renaming of NWFP.
Nawaz Sharif said that peaceful protest is the ‘democratic right’ of people.
He said that government should take action against the police personnel involved in firing at citizens in Abbottabad.
