Punjab Chief Minister Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has appointed 34 Members of Punjab Assembly as Parliamentary Secretaries as per power sharing formula decided between the coalition partners.
"Secretary for Parliamentary Affairs will be appointed later," said Senior Advisor to CM Sardar Zulfiqar Ali Khan Khosa, Senior Punjab Minister Raja Riaz Ahmad and Law Minister Rana Sanaullah Khan were also present.
They said that 21 parliamentary secretaries were selected from PML-N, MMA and PML-F and 13 from PPP as per 60-40 power sharing formula.
To a question about the lawyer’s long march, Zulfiqar Ali Khan Khosa said that Punjab government would not utilise its resources and funds for the long march.
"The long march is a political issue and any involvement of the Punjab government is not possible,' he added.
He said that all matters pertaining to the coalition government in the province were being settled amicably through committee formed by the coalition partners.
To another question, Raja Riaz disclosed that there was no difference between PML-N and PPP in the province to run the government affairs.
"We will hand over the ppp nominees for Provincial cabinet soon after the consultation with the party leadership," he responded to another query.
Meetings among the leadership of all the political parties was a good omen for the progress and prosperity of the country, Rana Sanaullah said while responding to a query about the meeting between President Asif Ali Zardari and Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif.
