Cameron Diaz went from Top Gear to glam gear yesterday - racing round the track with the Stig, then turning up on the red carpet just hours later.
But it didn't go quite as smoothly as she'd have liked... the stunning Hollywood A-lister had to be rescued by the show's mystery helmet-wearing racing driver when the car's gearbox conked out mid-lap.
Both Cameron and Tom Cruise - her co-star in new movie Knight And Day - took part in the "Star In A Reasonably Priced Car" slot.
An excited insider on the hit show, presented by Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May, said: "She looked flustered and clearly her time behind the wheel didn't go exactly according to plan."
