Sindh Taraqi Pasand party pledge to defend Sindh's present status

KARACHI: Sindh Taraqi Pasand Party on Sunday held a rally titled " Sindh : My Mother " from Pakistan Steel's residential area Gulshan-e-Hadeed , Bin Qasim, up to the Mazar-e-Quaid to pledge that Sindhis will not allow division of Sindh at any cost.

" We will not hesitate to give any sacrifice for protection of Sindh as a single entity. We will not surrender even an inch of Sindh, our mother ," pledged STP Chief Dr. Qadir Magsi while addressing the rally at the Quaid's maunsolem.

He said Sindh is the land of peace and brotherhood preached and promoted by sufi saints like Shah Abdul Latif and Qalandar Lal Shahbaz.

He advised other communities living here to follow the teachings of sufis and join the struggle against all kind of activities related to terrorism and propaganda damaging the peace and tranquality of Sindh.

" Sindhis are peaceful community and shall not allow any other one to spoil soil of Sindh ," he remarked.

STP Chief was also critical over certain elements having intentions to impose Islamic system of their own choice in the country at the gun point.

He proposed that along with Urdu, five other regional languages of the country including Sindhi should be given the status of national languages.

Dr. Qadir Magsi also called for continuity of the targetted operation against criminals in Karachi till the results are achieved and peace and security is ensured.
