The moon for Rabi-ul-Awwal was not sighted anywhere in Pakistan on Thursday, Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee Chairman Maulana Abdul Khabeer Azad announced.

The announcement was made after a meeting of the committee in Islamabad, chaired by Maulana Abdul Khabeer Azad.

Representatives of the Pakistan Meteorological Department, the Ministry of Science and Technology, and other relevant departments participated in the meeting and assisted the committee in assessing the moon-sighting reports.

The committee reviewed reports received from different parts of the country but said no reliable sighting had been reported.

As a result, the first day of Rabi-ul-Awwal 1448 AH will be observed on Saturday, August 15.

The 12th of Rabi-ul-Awwal, marking Eid Milad-un-Nabi (Peace Be Upon Him), will fall on Wednesday, August 26.
